1. Take an Outdoor Fitness Class on the Halifax Waterfront
If you’re looking for a uniquely Halifax experience, join community with movement overlooking the harbour.
Throughout the summer, Rstudios hosts FREE outdoor waterfront classes that combine movement, community, and some of the most beautiful views in the city. Whether it’s yoga, strength, pilates, or movement-based experiences, you’ll sweat, move, and connect with hundreds of locals and visitors alike.
Why it’s worth it: There’s no better way to experience Halifax than being by the ocean, moving your body, and experiencing some of the best instructors Halifax has to offer. Additionally, its located in the centre of downtown surrounded by some of the city’s best restaurants.

4. Picnic at Point Pleasant Park
After hitting up the market, head down the street to Point Pleasant Park for green space, water views and an abundance of walking and biking paths.
You can catch alot of action on the water from the harbour here and find a little solace in the city.
5. Good Robot by the Halifax Commons
The perfect Halifax scouting scene, offering locally made beers with creative and fun beer and seltzer flavours with lots of non-alcoholic options. Located directly across from the Halifax Commons, a green space located in the centre of the city with a skateboard park, playground, swimming pool and lots of space to throw a frisbee and run around with your kids/dog. Dogs are also welcome on the Good Robot Patio!
6. Take the Ferry to Dartmouth and Explore Dartmouth’s “Brooklyn-by-the-Sea” Side
For a few bucks you can cross the water and head to Dartmouth. The downtown area has some of our favorite local stops;
Croissants at Two if By Sea, Small plates, incredible cocktails and the most intimate patio at Dear Friend Bar, paddling at Lake Banook, and the best slice of ‘ZA at Yeah Yeahs. We are big fans of Audrey’s plant shop and highly recommend checking them out.
Dartmouth has a growing food and beverage scene and a beautiful waterfront walk.

7. Visit the Halifax Brewery Market downtown Halifax
This market has our hearts located in a historic downtown building filled with Local produce, Artisan products, Fresh flowers, Kombucha vendors
and Wellness products. We recommend the fresh made pasta, beautiful flower bunches and freshly made organic coffee. Every Saturday morning this is a NOT TO BE MISSED!
8. Rainy Day Recovery Rooms
Halifax is becoming a hot spot for wellness and Rstudios has just the offering at a low cost if you need to escape for the day. Cold plunge, Infrared sauna and some chill lounge spaces – book in for an hour solo or with friends or tack it onto a hot pilates or yoga class downtown.
