1. Controlled access

All studios will have at least one staff on present at all times before and after class. Signs are posted at the entrance of each studio reminding patrons to keep a distance of 6 feet apart upon entering and leaving the facilities. Patrons are only able to access the gym at scheduled class times and classes are scheduled a minimum of 30 minutes apart to avoid traffic in entryways and to allow adequate cleaning time between classes.

2. Limit occupancy

Capacities have been limited at each studio based on required social distancing of 6 feet. Each studio has marked areas inside to ensure patrons remain at an appropriate distance throughout class.
Number of patrons in each studio has been pre-determined through accurate measuring. Booking system online ensures the max capacity is not exceeded. Instructors will remain in one place for class to ensure physical distancing is achieved unless they wear a mask.

3. Signs posted

Signs are placed at all business entrances to notify patrons that they must not enter if they have symptoms of COVID-19. Signs are also posted throughout the facility to make patrons aware of the two metre physical distancing requirements, hand washing reminders, enhanced sanitation procedures (including reminders for members to wipe equipment with disinfectant after each use), and any other instructions and limitations, as applicable.

4. Screen arriving patrons

Patrons will see a series of questions upon arrival inquiring the following:

  • Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite.
  • Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined?

Any patron who answers ‘yes’ to the questions above will not be permitted to enter the facility.

5. Manage customer entry points

Markers will be placed in entryways at every two metres at entrances to provide patrons with visible queues that encourage physical distancing.

6. Require staff to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19

Staff who have symptoms of the illness must not work and need to self-isolate and contact their care provider. If one staff member is confirmed with a case, all staff will be required to get tested before returning to work and studio will be closed for at least 24 hours to thoroughly clean and disinfect.

7. Contactless Payment

Patrons will not be able to make transactions in the studio, all purchases and bookings will be made online ahead of time.

8. Hand sanitizer

Hand sanitizer will be set up at the entryway of each location and patrons will be required to clean hands upon entering and leaving the facilities.

9. Approved Disinfectants.

Disinfectants have been health care identified as appropriate defense.

10. Patrons provided with either disinfectant wipes or disinfectant in a spray bottle and paper towels for disinfecting equipment and surfaces between use.

Disinfectants for patrons will be conveniently located. Patrons will be required to wipe down the equipment with disinfectant wipes before and after use. Discontinued use of reusable towels and cloths. Patrons asked to bring their own towel or mat for use in the studio. Patrons will also be offered the option to purchase breathable buffs to wear in class for extra protection. Equipment will not be shared in classes, and boxing glove rentals will not be available.

11. Limited access to change rooms and patrons encouraged to arrive in gym clothes.

Patrons will be encouraged to arrive at the gym or fitness centre in workout clothes and to avoid using locker rooms on site. When locker rooms are used, a disinfectant spray or wipes will be available for patrons to disinfect locker contact surfaces before and after use.

12. Closed customer self-serve drink stations, water dispensers and water fountains.

Patrons advised to bring their own filled water bottles. Staff can fill drink orders for customers, but must not refill a used cup.

13. Travelling to Affected Areas

Patrons who have recently travelled to any area deemed affected with cases of Covid19 are asked not to return to the studio for a minimum of 2 weeks after returning.
